Will Microsoft Show Scorpio Before E3? Xbox Boss Is Unsure

Xbox boss Phil Spencer answered a lot of fan questions today on Twitter. One of them had to do with the company’s highly anticipated Project Scorpio console.

Someone asked if Microsoft would show it off before E3, to which Spencer replied (via DualShockers), “Honestly not sure yet but I know people want this.”

Asked for a general status update regarding Project Scorpio, Spencer said he is “absolutely” happy with what he’s seeing so far. He added, “great that our first-party teams are getting engines up and tuned, great progress across studios, platform, and [hardware].”

Microsoft has time and again referred to Project Scorpio as the “most powerful console ever made,” so a premium price point is expected. Officially, pricing has not been announced...

Horizon: Zero Dawn Release Date Moved Again in UK

Horizon: Zero Dawn looks to have been delayed slightly in the UK.

The game’s UK PlayStation Store entry states that it will unlock on March 3, 2017. That was the game’s intended UK release date before publisher Sony announced in December 2016 that it had been brought forward by two days to March 1. That now looks to have been reversed, for digital versions at least–though it is also possible that the Store listing is simply a mistake.

Global release dates appear to be unaffected by the apparent delay: the US PlayStation Store still lists the launch date as February 28, and the Australian and European store listings state a March 1 release.

GameSpot has contacted Sony for clarification. We’ll provide an update if we hear back.

Horizon: Zero Dawn was originally scheduled to release in 2016,...

It Looks Like Lance Reddick Is in Horizon: Zero Dawn

A pretty stunning story trailer for Horizon: Zero Dawn was released yesterday. It teased out some of the mysterious story and characters–both friend and foe. One of main character Aloy’s allies appears to be a character played by Lance Reddick from The Wire and Lost.

The character, who is seen as a hologram, shows up at around 1:24 in the video above. He says to Aloy, “You’ve come a long way since the citadel, Aloy.” She asks, “Who are you?” He responds, “An interested party.” If that all sounds very mysterious–that’s the point.

According to developer Guerrilla Games, it is intentionally holding back specifics about the game’s characters and world because it wants players to go in with fresh eyes and a strong drive to explore the world and find answers for themselves.

Reddick is no stran...

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild File Size Is 40% of Switch's Storage

Downloading The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Nintendo Switch requires 13.4 GB of storage.

Buying the next Zelda game digitally will take up over 40% of the console’s 32 GB of internal storage. Its file size is slightly smaller on Wii U at 13 GB.

Although Switch has 32 GB of storage, that doesn’t mean all of it will be usable–some of that memory may be dedicated to the OS, for example, so Breath of the Wild could realistically take up even more than 40% of the available memory. You can expand Nintendo Switch’s memory with a microSDXC card.

The box art for Breath of the Wild was also recently revealed. The game will launch March 3 alongside Nintendo Switch.

For example, choose Escobar and you’ll sprint through the Colombian jungle, while the Stranger Things game eventually challenges you to escape the Demogorgon.
