GTA 4's Liberty City Will Soon Be Playable within GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto IV‘s map, Liberty City, will soon exist right next to Grand Theft Auto V‘s Los Santos, thanks to modding team OpenIV.

The group says it’s been working on the update since GTA V’s PC release in 2015. It also says Liberty City will not replace Los Santos; instead, it will appear just across the ocean. Take a look at a teaser trailer below.

“Liberty City is finally coming into GTA V in all its glory,” the modders said in a blog post. “Liberty City will not replace Los Santos or Blaine County, but appears across the sea.”

To avoid any potential legal issues, the mod itself will not place Liberty City inside GTA V...

Smite's Next Character Can Transform Into Any God on the Map

As part of its annual Hi-Rez Expo event this week, Smite developer Hi-Rez Studios has announced the game’s next character, the first from the Celtic pantheon.

Smite’s new character is named The Morrigan, and she’s a Mage with a particularly interesting Ultimate. Changeling allows her to transform into any other character in the current game session, be it an ally or an enemy. This copies their stats and items, and it allows her to use all of their abilities–including their Ultimate–for the duration of the effect. Not everything is carried over; The Morrigan still has her own Relics, and the rank of her own abilities determines the rank of the copied ones.

Her other abilities are less radical but have the makings of an interesting character all the same...

PS4's Share Button Will Be Useless for Most of Danganronpa V3

If you’ve played enough games on PS4, you’ve likely reached a moment where the system’s Share feature becomes unavailable. This is typically to avoid the spread of spoilers that could ruin the experience for others. For the upcoming Danganronpa V3, that moment will consist of virtually the entire game.

“In order to prevent spoilers for Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, we are asking for self-restraint in the release of gameplay videos and live streams from Chapter 2 onward,” reads a message on the game’s website (as translated by Gematsu).

Once you reach Chapter 2, the Share button will be disabled for the remainder of the game. Even if you return to the Prologue or Chapter 1 with a save file that’s made it to Chapter 2, you’ll still find yourself unable to use it.

This measure might seem ...

Overwatch's Roadhog to Be Nerfed Very Soon

Overwatch‘s Roadhog will have his hook ability nerfed in the Public Test Realm very soon, according to the game’s principal designer Geoff Goodman.

On the shooter’s forum, Goodman details upcoming changes to Roadhog’s ability: “The hook victim will now move in to the position directly in front of Roadhog, rather than just a straight line towards him. There is a cap on how far ‘to the side’ you can be pulled, so you can’t just hook someone, spin 180, and dump someone off a cliff.”

Goodman goes on to describe how Roadhog can no longer hook someone who he can’t see, and a persistent line-of-sight check will cut the line between Roadhog and his victim if they drop out of sight mid-hook.

The changes are planned to go live in the PC PTR “very soon,” possibly even this week.

Goodman says elsewhe...

PSA: Forza Horizon 3 Update Bug on PC Can Wipe Your Save Game

Forza Horizon 3 players on PC should be careful today, as an issue with a new update can corrupt your save file.

That’s according to the game’s developer, Playground Games, which has been tracking the issue throughout the day on its forums. Initially, the problem was simply a matter of being asked to re-download the full game. That’s problematic in its own right–the game is over 50 GB, presenting a headache for those with data caps and/or slow download speeds. More concerning is what cropped up later: corrupted save games.

“PC players who completed the download of .37.2 and then started a new game save will have a corrupted saved game,” the post states. “Avoid creating a new saved game on .37.2, and only play on .35.2 to avoid this issue...
