Injustice 2 Comic Explores Events In Between The Games

Injustice 2 is headed to a game console near you this May. Last year, it was announced that Tom Taylor–who wrote the majority of the original Injustice: Gods Among Us comic series– would be writing a new comic series before the game’s release. Taylor wrote the majority of the original Injustice: Gods Among Us comic series. The upcoming comic takes place in between the two games, and we took the opportunity to talk to Taylor to find out what we can expect.

The new series debuts on April 11 digitally, and the first print issue goes on sale May 3.

Overwatch Concept Art May Show Off An Unrevealed Character Idea

As part of his DICE Summit talk today, Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan shared an early piece of concept art that seems to reveal a character who has not made it into the game, at least so far.

The image below shows off many of the characters players will recognize, such as Tracer, Winston, Mercy, and Genji. Right in the middle, however, we see a giant spider-like creature shooting a laser beam.

Kaplan knew this was likely to catch the attention of eagle-eyed fans and was sure to comment on it. “I need to say this for our subreddit so it doesn’t implode: No, the hero in the center is not the hero who you think it is,” he said.

New Horizon Zero Dawn Trailer Talks About No Loading Screens And More

With less than a week to go before the launch of Sony’s next big PlayStation 4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn, the company today released a new trailer for the highly anticipated action-RPG.

In the new video, developers from Guerrilla Games talk about their ambitions for Horizon Zero Dawn and how they went about creating the game world. Also discussed are things like the new strides the team made in terms of facial animation, as well as advances to the studio’s engine so that there are no loading screens at all once the game is booted up. Horizon Zero Dawn launches on February 28 in North America and March 1 in Europe. Reviews have already come online, and the game is receiving a lot of praise. GameSpot’s review scored it a 9/10.

Free Xbox One/360 Games With Gold For March 2017 Revealed

With March drawing near, Microsoft has announced the lineup of free games that Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download beginning next week.

On Xbox One, the month starts out with Layers of Fear, which only released just last week. Later in the month, it will be joined by co-op shooter Evolve, which was developed by Turtle Rock, the studio behind Left 4 Dead. Evolve was turned into a free-to-play game on PC last year and was potentially going to see the same change on consoles, but Turtle Rock has since ceased work on the game.

Futurama: Worlds Of Tomorrow Coming To Mobile

TinyCo and Fox Interactive announced today that Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is currently under development for mobile platforms.

Original content for the game has been produced by the team behind the TV show, alongside Futurama creators Matt Groening, and David X. Cohen. TinyCo is also working with Rough Draft Studios–Futurama’s original animators–to ensure the game stays true to the source material.

We know another character is on the way to Overwatch, and it apparently isn’t whom we expect–likely ruling out Doomfist. Blizzard today seemingly teased the new addition to the roster with a new blog post.

Under the guise of an interview that takes place in the Overwatch world, we get to learn about 11-year-old Efi Oladele. She’s a gifted young scientist who has experience with robots and artificial intelligence.

Looking for a Nintendo Switch? Retailer GameStop announced today that it will have a “limited supply” of the hard-to-find systems available to buy at its US stores on launch day, March 3.

“We will have a limited supply of the Nintendo Switch systems on launch day for walk-in customers,” GameStop’s Bub Puzon said in a statement. “Our teams made this happen.

“I would strongly suggest customers plan on attending one of our midnight launch events for a shot at securing one of these extra units. They will go fast!”

The Switch sells for $300 and does not include any pack-in games.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer is keeping busy on Twitter. After answering questions about Project Scorpio and backwards compatibility, he’s now weighed in on more topics like competing games and the health of the Xbox One.
